Permission to be myself
As I continue to process our session, I’m having many moments that are giving me concrete reasons why I think and do some of the things I do, and how that fits or doesn’t fit with current culture. It’s like giving me permission to be myself without the baggage I was holding on to.
I feel like I’m slowly but surely letting go and releasing a lot of built-up or stuck energy. Almost like a balloon slowly leaking air, but I’m rising because I’m not weighed down by it. It’s subtle but kind of mind blowing. It’s super amazing, thank you!
An experience of growth: enlightened and free
It has been a joy and a growing experience to work with Angela as my coach. Even though we were separated by miles and used technology for our coaching sessions, I felt the immediacy of her warmth, humor and compassion as we tackled my concerns.
Her expertise and experience combine to make her a wise counselor. She uses data and keen listening to customize her approach to helping her client. She offers tons of additional resources and I know she spends a lot of time researching and reflecting on my concerns. The use of personality typing has enlightened me and freed me in many ways.
But mostly I appreciate Angela for her quiet humor, quick study, careful listening and deep spirit. Combined with her skills these attributes make her an excellent and accessible coach. I hope you get a chance to work with her!
Guiding me closer and closer to my own soul
The Personality Discovery Session I completed with Angela was a much needed guided journey into my soul and psyche. It is so much more than a typing session. Angela did help me understand my cognitive type, but in the process of doing so I had multiple moments of that feeling of connecting with my true authentic self. It is absolutely an invaluable experience.
I have since immersed myself in Angela’s offerings. I’ve done yin yoga and multiple gung fu tea ceremonies where I’ve solidified my self care and self love practices just a little more with each experience. Throughout my life I’ve had myriad experiences with meditation centers, yoga studios and retreats, herbal medicine, ceremonial work, but there is something special about the Moondance offerings where it just sticks a little better.
I have now also completed the 1-Month Coaching Program. I was at rock bottom with my spiritual, mental, and physical health having just completed a rigorous grad program and having done that while battling Lyme disease + co-infections, mycotoxicosis, and Hashimotos disease. Angela lovingly picked me up from the proverbial floor, let me cry and be extremely vulnerable during sessions, and expertly guided me closer and closer to my own soul. It felt like she was walking me home.
I’ve never felt more mentally and spiritually strong in my life. Instead of going into bouts of daily anxiety, I now find myself repeating my personalized sankalpa from Angela’s yoga nidra recording: ‘I believe in the divine timing of things.’ And I’m still in that calm space a month later.
The catalyst for change in my life
Angela has helped me discover more about myself. Her in-depth personality assessment and coaching sessions have been the catalyst for change in my life. I uncovered things about my personality and how I make decisions that are life changing. While working with Angela, I had “ah-ha” moments that have helped propel me forward as I discover a new career path. I am forever grateful for her insightful work.
Coping strategies to relax and release stress
Working with Angela was great! I worked with Angela after the birth of my first child. She helped me with coping strategies to relax and release stress, and to help me return to healthy eating and my pre-pregnancy weight.
She had a very holistic gradual approach that I found very supportive. I learned a lot about listening to my body and paying attention to how different foods made me feel. Working with her really helped me make positive change in my life.
I got to know Angela through a month-long nutrition class I took with her. I was amazed at the scope of topics we covered. She really redefined nutrition for me – it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat with breathing and mindfulness while eating, digestion – not just to lose weight.
I was also able to take Angela’s Yin Yoga classes. She is specially trained in this practice and I learned all the health benefits of this type of yoga. I take many yoga classes, but this method has so many new benefits that I never knew about.
As my respect for Angela grew, I am now a personal client of Angela’s for the past year. I have lost weight, but Angela has also delved into several health issues that I had just learned to live with in the past. Through her functional medicine techniques, she researches solutions in a compassionate and knowledgeable way.
Weekly therapy for body, mind and soul
Angela is a kind and gentle instructor who makes each student feel as though they have her undivided attention. Her Yin classes are calming, restorative and inspirational. I never wanted to miss one of Angela’s classes and thought of them as weekly therapy for body, mind and soul. She is simply a lovely human being.
Relief from fibromyalgia
I had tried several different kinds of yoga with limited success, but once I tried Yin Yoga with Angela I was hooked. I have fibromyalgia, and it has really helped with my symptoms far beyond what I ever expected. She is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend her.
A life-altering and influential experience of intentional healing
I’m a firm believer in the divine, and that all things really do happen for a reason. I started Yin yoga in the midst of a total life transition where I suddenly lost my 17-year old cat and was having a really hard time dealing with her loss. I found Angela’s class to be a life-altering experience and a practice that was new to me.
My perception of Yoga has always been about drastic poses and stretches, of which I’ve done. But with Yin Yoga, this was more of a gentle embrace, more so of what my mind and body needed desperately. The more I practiced intentional healing and being mindful of my self-care, I started to realize how influential this experience was.
To this day, I still believe that I didn’t find her class, her class found me in my moment of need. And I believe that anything you request of the Universe it will surely show you in full form to guide you through life. I intentionally still practice yin yoga because it helps me find my center and continues to give me balance and ease on a daily basis. I cannot express my gratitude and how thankful I am for Angela and her teachings; it was truly meant to be.
Rejuvenation AND education
Angela was my Yin Yoga instructor for a little over a year. When I first came to her, yoga was brand new to me. I remember walking in the first night of Angela’s class feeling very nervous that I would not fit in or be able to keep up with my classmates. Angela quickly welcomed me by asking my name and introducing herself. She had the room lit with candles and offered me some warm tea…I instantly knew this was exactly where I was supposed to be.
Since that first yin class I have taken other instructors’ classes but what sets Angela apart from others was her ability to make you feel like for that one hour her main goal was to take care of you…whether it was making sure you had all of the right props or the care she took making sure you were 100% comfortable during savasana. After a stressful day, those small gestures and attention to detail made all the difference.
What was also unique was that she incorporated her vast knowledge on wellness and mindfulness into each class, which made them not only rejuvenating but also educational. Angela has the kindest soul and if anyone is considering working with her they will not be disappointed.
The quiet opening of body and spirit
I have had the privilege of being with Angela in her yin yoga classes and her tea ceremonies. I can attest that she is a thoughtful, gentle teacher. Her practice is informed by poetry and philosophy that feed into the quiet opening of body and spirit.
Angela was always well prepared for class, eager to offer accommodations if a position caused discomfort, and happy to share what she knew, whether it be about tea or yoga. I moved away and really missed her classes!
Managing stress and viewing the world differently
I took my first Yin/Nidra class, taught by Angela, not knowing what it was or what to expect. I quickly discovered that Angela’s classes and style provided the tools needed to better manage the variety of stresses in life. Angela is very passionate about this style of yoga and her classes are always very well prepared to ensure an authentic and safe approach.
You can expect her to show up to class with a big smile and a genuine desire to share her knowledge. During class she will use a very calming tone to explain an overall theme while sharing inspirational quotes and ideas. This assists you in “Calming the Monkey Mind” and being present as you explore holding poses for an extended time.
This opportunity to “just be” is very appealing and allows for a break from the screens and social media services that are always demanding our attention. Angela’s classes were definitely impactful to me and changed the way I view the world and interact with people. Give Yin/Nidra a try, you won’t be disappointed!
Mindfulness and rejuvenation
I attended a Chinese Gongfu Tea Ceremony and I loved it! Angela led us in a meditation and then we got to experience three types of tea using mindfulness. Angela is so knowledgeable and a wonderful host. I felt so rejuvenated afterward. I highly recommend Angela’s services and events! I look forward to attending more in the future!
Finding divine guidance and intuition
Thoroughly enjoyed the meditation and tea ceremony with Angela. I attended it with two friends and we all thought it was fantastic. It was a beautiful setting and experience. I did participate in a yin yoga class she held earlier this year and loved it.
I highly recommend trying one of her classes or coaching sessions. She is great at offering insight, new viewpoints, and support without being “preachy” or overbearing. She acknowledges and encourages your own divine guidance and intuition.
Opened my eyes to a whole new world
Angela is awesome! She is so passionate about health, wellness and especially the people in her life! She is very supportive and helpful to anyone who needs a push to build a healthier, happier and more spiritual life!
She opened my eyes to a whole new world! I look forward to attending more events in the future and getting my life on the right path. Thank you Angela for everything I’ve learned and experienced since you came into my life!
A much needed oasis from the busy world around us
Angela has a gentle, welcoming demeanor and a vast array of knowledge when it comes to all things tea and yin yoga. I highly recommend studying and practicing with her. She creates an environment that is relaxing, peaceful and a much needed oasis from the busy world around us.
Good for the body, mind, and soul
I had such a lovely experience with Angela’s Tea Ceremony. I learned so much more about tea, tasted some amazing varieties that you can’t find normally and had a truly relaxing morning. I highly recommend attending one of her events, it’s good for the body, mind, and soul.
An “intoxicating” sensory experience
I have wonderful memories of Angela’s Gongfu Tea Ceremony! She led us in a meditation to relax our minds and bodies so we could mindfully take in each precious step of making and drinking tea. With the aromas and tastes of the teas along with the birdsongs, gentle waves of the lake, and a jasmine plant wafting through the air, the entire event was intoxicating! Thanks so much Angela!
The loveliest place inside the Twin Cities…
Angela is a seasoned Yoga instructor and it shows as she’s guiding a group into a peaceful/relaxation state. I attended her tea ceremony in the late summer and had a marvelous time sampling the teas. I lived in China 12 years ago and had not tasted an authentic Chinese tea since! Her tea selection is impressive!
Along with the tea, Angela also has an impressive knowledge of teas from her past jobs at tea houses, so she shares information about the teas, and snacks to go along with each tea and answers questions about tea and tea ceremonies too.
The space where she hosts her tea ceremonies is the loveliest place I have ever seen inside the Twin Cities…beautiful flowers and landscape and a gorgeous view of the lake. I’d highly recommend checking out a tea ceremony and if you’re looking for personal coaching, go to Angela! She’s wonderful and has been my friend for years and is an amazing listener and has a great sense of humor!
